SIXTH GRADE BASIC SUPPLIES

GENERAL SUPPLIES FOR ALL CLASSES

  • 24 (or more) #2 sharpened pencils
  • 6 (or more) black or blue pens
  • 1 highlighter
  • 1 box of tissues (bring to 1st period class)
  • 1 box of colored pencils
  • 1 box of colored markers
  • Earbuds or headphones
  • Hand pencil sharpener
  • One binder (1-inch with clear pocket on cover)
  • One sturdy pocket folder with 3 hole punches
  • Zippered Pencil Pouch (3-hole punch)
  • Glue stick
  • Dry Erase Marker

MATH

ENGLISH

  • One pack of 3×5 note cards

  • One 9”x12” spiral bound sketchbook
  • One fine point & one ultra fine point black Sharpie marker
  • One pocket folder

HEALTH

  • No supplies needed

FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE

  • A sturdy pocket folder

LOCKER SHELVES:

  • If you wish to purchase locker shelves, it is important to buy adjustable ones.  The inside dimensions of our lockers are 10” x 10” and standard metal shelves or locker ladders don’t fit correctly and cause the doors to jam and the mechanism to break.
  • All student belongings need to be kept locked, in student lockers.  Backpacks with wheels do not fit into the middle school lockers, so please do not purchase backpacks with wheels.

Suggestion: Visit a dollar store first.  Many items such as highlighters, pens, pencils, etc. can be purchased inexpensively.

  • Notebook – single subject

MATH

  • One-subject notebook*
  • Scientific Calculator (suggested model: TI-30XIIS – Texas Instrument)
  • Six pack of glue sticks

SCIENCE

* Math and Social Studies: a 1-subject notebook, 8.5 x 11, 100 sheets with pocket folder (no substitutes) is required for each class.  You can order the notebooks through myschoolbucks July 7 – August 7 for $3.00
each.  These notebooks will be delivered to the school and passed out in class.  You can also purchase the notebooks on your own from a retail store.

** Art Sketchbooks – students who stored their 6th grade books in the art room for the summer will use them again this year. Students whose books were taken home or fully used will need to bring in a new book.
