The Voorheesville Dionysians is proud to present “Chicago: Teen Edition,” at the Lydia C. Tobler Performing Arts Center, at Clayton A. Bouton High School, on March 22-24. Note: Chicago: Teen Edition contains subject matter which may not be suitable for pre-teens.
Rehearsals for the show began in January. Cast members have been learning more than their lines and choreography.
“Throughout all the years I’ve done drama club, I’ve learned the value of teamwork and friendship, and how important kindness is when working as a team,” said Ella Effinger (Mary Sunshine). “In theater, friends are essential for success.”
Castmate Andrew Bein (Amos Hurt) says being part of drama club has many benefits.
“I’ve done a lot of shows at Voorheesville, and I’ve found it to be a super kind and supportive group of people. I’ve learned a lot about performing, music and being a good person. Theater is amazing, and rehearsing for Chicago has been so much fun.”
