Assemblies to welcome all took place this week at the elementary school. Grades 2-5 were outside in order to space properly and adhere to the social distancing guidelines. Grades K-1 were inside, due to the weather. This was a chance to introduce our new staff and students to the VES family.
Our discussions included embracing diversity and learning about different cultures from all over the world and in our own community. We shared the story “The Day You Begin” with students and staff. The positive time together ended with a group International Line Dance. All grade levels sang the alma mater and our PRIDE chant and reviewed VES PRIDE.
