Board of Education

Regular meetings of the Voorheesville Board of Education are typically held on the second Monday of every month, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the LGI  (large group instruction room), unless otherwise noted.

The Voorheesville Central School District Board of Education has moved entirely to Board Docs, and all agendas and minutes are now on this resource. You may visit BoardDocs at any time, and as soon as a new agenda is posted, it will be available to view publicly on that site. All of the supplemental links that accompany the Board meetings are here are for your convenience. Agendas are posted online 48 hours before the meeting. Meeting minutes are posted after they have been approved by the Board of Education at the subsequent meeting.

2024-25 Board of Education Officers

Newly elected Board of Education members Matthew Bergeron and Kathy Fiero took their oath of office, as administered by District Clerk Jessica Tabakian, at the board’s July 8 reorganization meeting.

Rachel Gilker was sworn in as the board’s President for the 2024-25 school year, and Rob Samson was sworn in as Vice President.

BOE Student Representative

Joseph Ruoso has been selected as the ex officio student representative and will serve throughout the 2024-25 school year. 

Ruoso will sit with board members at all public meetings of the Board of Education and participate in public hearings and meetings but will not be required to participate in mandatory board training.

To be considered for the student representative position, interested candidates must be seniors who have attended the high school for at least two years prior to selection. The selection process includes confirmation by the Clayton A. Bouton HS Principal that the candidates have met the requirements outlined in the Board’s policy. A final selection is made by Superintendent Macri after consideration of all candidates,
