For the second year in a row, Clayton A. Bouton is ranked #2 in the Best High Schools rankings for the Albany Metro by U.S. News and World Report. According to the report, the rankings are based on the percentage of students who achieved exceptional scores on state assessments for math, reading and science. The report also measures college readiness and participation on Advanced Placement exams and considers the district’s approach to educating historically underserved students.
“These results are a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our students, faculty and staff, and families,” said Superintendent Frank Macri. “Special thanks also goes out to VCSD taxpayers who support our mission to provide students a strong foundation of knowledge in a safe and supportive environment, to prepare them to be productive members of the global society, and to value life-long learning.”
Some of the key metrics reported in the U.S. News and World report include:
- Graduation Rate: 100%
- Mathematics Proficiency: 91%
- Reading Proficiency: 92%
