A message to parents and guardians from VCSD administration:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are letting you know of law enforcement involvement regarding an incident that occurred after school on Thursday, Jan. 30. The involvement focused on the alleged dissemination of THC vapes by an adult, who has no affiliation with VCSD, to two minors on school property. At the onset of this incident, administration immediately addressed the situation using district protocols and the Code of Conduct, and began working directly with the families of the students.
The Albany County Sheriff’s Department responded to our call immediately and began working with the district. We have now been informed that they have arrested the adult in relation to this incident. We would like to thank the department for its swift response and thank the families of the students for their cooperation.
